During the Industrial Revolution, society was rough. People lived in poverty and on the streets. To be able to run all of the factories during this time, people had to work for dirt cheap. The conditions inside the factories were awful and dying on the job was nothing surprising. Unfortunately, children were also sent to work in these poor work conditions and in consequence many of them died. The Industrial revolution however, created the efficient production lines that helped give us the safe working environments we have today. The poverty filled streets were brought to attention during the Industrial Revolution. The high poverty rates made the government rethink the way that they do taxes, without this society wouldn't be what it is today! | ||
